Inherited cardiac conditions
I have been working in the field of inherited heart disease since 2006. I specialise in seeing patients and families with heart muscle diseases (cardiomyopathy) and heart rhythm disorders (channelopathy), including relatives of people suffering sudden arrhythmic death syndrome (SADS).
Implantable cardiac devices
I implant all types of cardiac device - pacemakers including conduction system pacing, cardiac resynchronisation therapy (CRT) and defibrillators (ICDs) including extra-vascular and subcutaneous ICDs (S-ICD and EV-ICD).
General cardiology
I see people with all types of heart-related symptoms including blackouts (syncope), palpitations, breathlessness, chest pain and ankle swelling.
My Approach
As a heart disease specialist, I know how scary it can be to be diagnosed with a cardiovascular condition. That’s why I make it my mission to provide compassionate, patient-centred care to everyone who walks through our doors. I believe in taking the time to listen to my patients, learn about their unique situations, and help them make informed decisions about their health. I understand that heart disease not only affects the individual, but also their loved ones, and I strive to provide support to both the patient and their family.
